1. Introduction and Acceptance
1.1 These Terms & Conditions ("T&C") govern the provision of taxi, transfer, chauffeur and related travel services ("Services") by ZipDriveTravels ("Company", "we", "us") to the person or entity making a booking ("Customer", "you").
1.2 By using our Website, mobile booking channels, WhatsApp, telephone or any other booking channel and/or by confirming a booking you (i) acknowledge that you have read, understood and accepted these T&C and (ii) agree to be bound by them.
1.3 These T&C form part of the contract between you and the Company. Any additional or different terms proposed by you are not accepted unless agreed in writing by an authorized representative of the Company.
2. Definitions
2.1 "Booking" means a confirmed reservation for Services.
2.2 "Driver" means the person supplied by the Company to operate the vehicle for your Booking.
2.3 "Vehicle" means the automobile provided by the Company for the provision of Services.
3. Services Provided
3.1 The Company provides point-to-point transfers, local hourly hires, outstation trips, airport transfers and other ground-transport services as set out on the Website or confirmed in writing.
3.2 The Company may subcontract the provision of Services to third-party operators, independent contractors or freelancers; in such cases the Company primarily acts as a service arranger. The Company shares driver and vehicle details with the Customer for safety purposes but shall not be responsible for acts or omissions of such third parties, except as required by law.
4. Booking, Confirmation & Amendments
4.1 A Booking will only be confirmed once the Customer pays a booking/advance charge equal to twenty‑five percent (25%) of the total Booking value. This amount is non‑refundable except where the Company cancels the booking for reasons within its control.
4.2 Amendments to confirmed Bookings may be accepted at the Company’s discretion and may attract additional charges.
5. Fares, Taxes and Extra Charges
5.1 Fares are calculated based on the applicable rate, distance, time and other surcharges. Indicative fare per km:
- Sedan: ₹12
- Ertiga: ₹15
- Kia Carens: ₹17
- Innova: ₹20
- 12-Seater Traveller: ₹25
- 17-Seater Traveller: ₹30
5.2 For distances under 100–120 km, a multiplier of 1.5x applies.
5.3 Additional charges are payable by the Customer, including tolls, state taxes, parking, entry permits, driver night charges, gratuities, and government levies.
5.4 Hilly area surcharges may apply. For certain routes these charges are included upfront; otherwise, they are communicated at booking.
5.5 Package rates for local rentals are as follows (for Sedan category unless otherwise specified):
- 4 hrs / 40 km — ₹1,000
- 6 hrs / 60 km — ₹1,500
- 8 hrs / 80 km — ₹2,000
- 10 hrs / 100 km — ₹2,500
- 12 hrs / 120 km — ₹3,000
5.6 Rental rate is ₹250 per hour (or part thereof) beyond the booked package.
5.7 All fares are indicative until confirmed in writing. Applicable taxes are extra.
6. Payment
6.1 Booking/advance charge: 25% of the total Booking value, payable upfront.
6.2 Balance payment to be made as per the Company’s payment terms at booking.
6.3 Failure to pay advance may lead to cancellation.
7. Cancellation, No‑Show & Refund Policy
7.1 Booking Cancellation by Customer:
Cancellation requests must be received in writing (via WhatsApp, email, or booking channel). Applicable deductions from the 25% advance (non-refundable) are as follows:
- 36 hours before scheduled pickup: Advance forfeited (25% of Booking). No extra penalties.
- 24 to 36 hours before pickup: 50% of total tour cost charged. Balance may be refunded/credited at Company’s discretion.
- 4 to 24 hours before pickup: 75% of total tour cost charged. No refund.
- Less than 4 hours before pickup: Treated as No-Show. 100% of total tour cost charged; advance forfeited; treated as new booking if rebooked.
7.2 No-Show Policy:
If you fail to board at pickup point within the scheduled time, or cancel within 4 hours, it’s a no-show. No refund applicable and full cost is charged.
7.3 Cancellation by Company:
Company may cancel due to vehicle breakdown, driver unavailability, operational or safety issues. In such cases, you are entitled to either a full refund of the advance or an alternative arrangement at no extra cost.
7.4 Refund Processing:
Eligible refunds will be processed within 5–7 business days, credited to the original payment method unless agreed otherwise.
7.5 Exceptional & Force Majeure Situations:
If cancellation is due to natural calamities, government restrictions, political unrest, vehicle failure beyond reasonable control, or other force majeure, the advance is forfeited. However, you may request a voucher equal to paid amount, redeemable for future bookings.
8. Waiting Time & Extensions
8.1 First 30 minutes of waiting is complimentary. Thereafter:
- 31 to 60 minutes: ₹150
- Beyond 60 minutes: ₹150 per subsequent 30‑minute block (or part thereof).
8.2 Extensions to trips are charged at ₹250 per hour or the prevailing per‑km rate.
9. Customer Obligations and Conduct
9.1 Customers must not carry illegal items, smoke inside the Vehicle (unless permitted), or damage the Vehicle.
9.2 The Company and Drivers are not responsible for loss, theft or damage of Customer property or luggage. Customers must secure their belongings.
9.3 Customers indemnify the Company against claims, losses or damages arising from their actions.
10. Liability & Accidents
10.1 Vehicles are insured as per Indian law. In case of an accident, claims for personal injury or property damage shall be against the driver’s/vehicle owner’s insurance.
10.2 The Company is not liable for any compensation arising out of accidents, except where required by law or in cases of Company’s gross negligence.
11. Personal Data & Marketing
11.1 Customer personal data may be collected, stored and used for booking, safety verification, compliance, and marketing purposes.
11.2 By booking, Customers consent to receive promotional or marketing communications. Customers may opt out by notifying the Company.
12. Governing Law, Arbitration & Dispute Resolution
12.1 These T&C shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India.
12.2 In the event of any dispute, the Customer and the Company shall first attempt to resolve the matter through mandatory arbitration in accordance with the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 (as amended). The arbitration proceedings shall be conducted in English, seated in the city of the Company’s registered office, and presided over by a sole arbitrator appointed by the Company.
12.3 Only if arbitration fails or the award is challenged may the parties approach the courts of competent jurisdiction in the city of the Company’s registered office.
